Five persons were killed and 40 injured when a passenger bus overturned in west Nepal on Monday.
The accident occurred at Krishnapur in Kanchanpur district when the bus was heading towards Mahendranagar from Achham district, police said.

Four persons died on the spot and one person died while undergoing treatment in the Mahakali zonal hospital, police said. The dead include three members of a family.
The injured people were admitted in the Mahakali zonal hospital. The condition of 12 people was said to be serious.
