Florida dismisses charges against Indian mother
Her baby was taken away from her after the State determined she could not support the newborn.
The Florida Department of Children and Families has dismissed charges against an Indian mother, whose baby was taken away from her after the state determined she could not support the newborn and did not seek prenatal care.

Child welfare workers will continue to visit 22-year-old Patel, who was on a visit to the US, and two-month-old Krinna until August five, when her case plan is completed, the Tampa Tribune reported today.
The department took custody of the baby Krinna on May 31. The agency accused the mother Parita Patel of "prospective neglect" and her husband in India, of abandonment.
A DCF lawyer told the County judge Katherine Essrig yesterday that Patel does not have means to care for her baby, though the agency took issue with Patel sleeping in the same bed with the child, the paper said.
The Bay area's Indian community recently donated a crib for Krinna, who lives with her mother and a couple in north Tampa apartment.
Patel had been hit by a car months before the delivery and while visiting friends in New Jersey, her child was born two months prematurely because of injuries she received in the accident.
