Jessica Simpson would consider acting on stage, but only in a Shakespearean play.

Singer-turned-actress Jessica Simpson is keen to improve her acting skills on stage but insists she will consider nothing less than a Shakespeare play.

According to hollywood.com, Simpson now considers herself a seasoned actress and is eager to star in a classic production so that her dumb blonde image will finally be eradicated.

She says, "When I arrived in England the first thing I did was go straight to the Globe Theatre. For me that is the home of acting and writing. I have always loved Shakespeare. That's the job I want - anything at the Globe."
