Former Uttar Pradesh Minister Chetram Gangwar died in his native Pachpeda village in Bareilly district on Monday, family sources said.

Gangwar, 74, represented Nawabganj assembly seat in Bareilly for 22 years. He would be cremated with full state honours in the village on Tuesday.

In a condolence message, Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav recalled Gangwar's services for the landless and farmers in the Rohilkhand region.
