MORE THAN 700 women belonging to police personnel’s families benefited from a free health camp organised at the Police Hospital, 7th Battalion SAF, Jehangirabad by the Madhya Pradesh Police Welfare Department here on Sunday.
Several specialist doctors conducted health check up and provided medication and counselling to patients during the daylong camp.
Minister of State for Home Nagendra Singh’s wife Tara Rajyalakshmi inaugurated the camp at 10 am. DGP A R Pawar, his wife and MP Police Women Welfare Centre President Gayatri Pawar, ADG V M Kanwar, DIG G R Meena, 7th Battalion SAF Commandant Pawan Srivastava, Police hospital medical officer Dr Roohi Chandra and various other doctors and officials were present.
Bone density, breast cancer detection machines were available at the camp and doctors from the Jawahar Lal Nehru Cancer Hospital conducted check up of patients. Besides, there were specialists for Cardiology, Orthopaedics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Gynaecology, Dermatology and other medical branches.
Dental problems were also solved during the camp and X-ray, ECG, sonography were also taken. Dieticians and nutritionists gave special advice to women suffering from malnourishment while conditions like blood pressure, and other general ailments were also treated during the camp.
While inaugurating the camp, Tara Rajyalakshmi said women were symbols of sacrifice but in their attempt to balance family life, they usually ended up neglecting their own health and well being. She advised women to take care of their health in order to stay healthy and lead a happier life.
