Gilchrist joins wicket keepers' 300 club

Adam Gilchrist became the fourth wicket-keeper in history to achieve 300 Test dismissals during the fourth Ashes Test against England.

Adam Gilchrist became the fourth wicket-keeper in history to achieve 300 Test dismissals when he caught Ian Bell off Shaun Tait on the first day of the fourth Test against England at Trent Bridge on Thursday.

Only Australia greats Ian Healy and Rodney Marsh, as well as South Africa's Mark Boucher, have previously reached the landmark.

Healy, whom Gilchrist replaced in the Australia side, holds the world record for Test wicket-keeping dismissals with 395 from 119 matches.
