Girls outclassed boys in the final year examinations, the result of which was declared today by the University of Jammu.

Most of the girls from the prestigious Government College for Women (GCW), Parade claimed the top slots and maximum positions thus leaving behind the SPMR College of Commerce and Government Gandhi Memorial Science College.

GCW Parade made a clean sweep in the merit lists in the BA/BSc/BCom/BBA and BCA Part-III examinations, the result of which was announced by the Jammu University here last evening.

Girls secured 44 out of total 53 positions in all the five streams while the boys claimed nine positions, including two in science and three in arts.

In Humanities stream, top 10 positions have been shared by 12 students.

In Science stream, top three positions have been secured by GCW Parade with Era Mehta being the topper by securing 88.78 percent marks followed by Sakshi Raina with 88.75 per cent and Nitika Sharma with 88.69 per cent marks.

In Commerce stream, GCW Parade bagged record nine positions, including top three. Vriti Jain with 73.15 per cent while Shallu Manhotra (72.55 per cent) and Parwali Gupta (72.30 per cent) remained at second and third spot in the merit list.
