"Suspecting a possible virus invasion (of H1N1 and influenza) the government has put entire health mechanism of the state on course. Kerala, Karnataka and Maharashtra are seeing increased number of deaths due to H1N1 infections with the arrival of monsoon there," Vyas said while talking about state's preparedness.

"State's Health Department is looking at the situation with due seriousness," he said.

"It seems like a beginning of third phase of Swine Flu. State's health mechanism is fully equipped to deal with any eventuality. It is not panic but awareness and precautions which can help us in this situation," he said.

According to health officials, Vyas had held a meeting with officials of Health and Family Welfare Department couple of days ago to review the preparation for the monsoon.
