K Khandwavala, Director General of Police (Gujarat) said the state police has provided full security to ten released Pak prisoners, who will soon be handed over to the authorities in the neighbouring country via Attari on Wagah border.

Talking to PTI, Khandwavala said the release of Pakistani fishermen from jails in Gujarat comes after the Centre decided to release 85 Pakistani prisoners lodged in various jails in the country as a good will gesture on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr.

According to a statement released by the Union Home Ministry, "On September 9, orders have been issued releasing 58 fishermen lodged in Gujarat jails, subject to issue of travel documents by Pakistan authorities."
