checks with celebrity hairstylists to find out if the trend is here to stay.

Hairstylist Sumit Israni says, “Fringes became popular this winter and I am sure it will be a rage this summer.”
The popular ones are the side fringes and the one that curls around the eyebrow. The only maintenance it requires is “to get it trimmed after every two weeks to uphold its length,” Israni added.

To avoid the hassle of going to the hairdresser every now and then, hairstylist Dilshad Pastakia offers a better option. “Short bangs are an easy-to-manage substitute for fringes. In this hairstyle, the hair that fall on your face is trimmed till the cheekbone level. It can be maintained easily.”

How to get that ‘diva’ look:

* Get a fringe depending on your hair texture and facial shape
* Fringes go best with straight hair
* The side-swept fringe suits most facial shapes
* Oval and long faces usually look good with a fringe
* A layered fringe can make a large or round face look slimmer
* A short and light fringe suits very short hair
* Fringes are a big ‘no’ for frizzy hair
