The November 26 terror attacks on Mumbai convulsed the city — and the country — in a way never seen before. In the days following the attack, we ploughed all our resources into providing you with the most comprehensive and sensitive reporting of the attack and its aftermath, as well as the most in-depth and detailed analysis of the incident.

It hasn’t gone unnoticed. Drawing on Hindustan Times content, Penguin Books India, the country’s largest publisher, has brought out a book — 26/11, the attack on Mumbai — that brings together many of the reports, investigations, profiles and analyses published in our paper.

With an introduction by Hindustan Times Advisory Editorial Director, Vir Sanghvi, the book is divided into three parts. The first one documents — through the dispatches filed by our reporters — the harrowing attack, and the siege of the Trident and Taj hotels and Nariman House.

The second part tracks the investigation. The third, titled ‘The Aftermath’, showcases the opinion pieces that we had run in the wake of the attacks. These include a widely-praised essay by the novelist Amitav Ghosh as well as pieces from respected writers from across the border, like Mohsin Hamid and Mohammed Hanif.

The book is available in leading bookstores in India. Watch out for more on the book on CNN-IBN tomorrow.
