Nitish Bharadwaj returns to television with Dheeraj Kumar’s Man Mein Ho Visshwas, a weekly show on real life stories of faith and supernatural powers. Bharadwaj who is best remembered for his portrayal of Lord Krishna in BR Chopra’s Mahabharat says he decided to take a break and concentrate on “my duties as a MP and a chairman of Tourism Board in Madhya Pradesh.
For two years, I was promoting tourism in that state. Since I love nature and Madhya Pradesh revels in being known for its dense forests and tiger reserves, it provided me with opportunities to give a boost to its tourism.” Bharadwaj has also made a docu feature on Madhav Golwalkar “who played a major role in the shaping of the RSS. He wrote some very important chapters in the history of taking the organisation forward.”
Titled Karma Yogi, Bharadwaj has produced and directed it. He’s also planning to make a Bollywood film “because times have changed and so is the formula. Interesting stories are being told on cinema.” As for doing Man Mein Ho Visshwas, he says “Initially I was reluctant becasue I didn’t want to encourage blind faith but the stories are real, so I agreed.” Will he do more TV?
“Why not? But please, I don’t want to play any saas or bahu’s husband.”
