Parleys between India and Pakistan to start a truck service from Jammu and Kashmir are on right track and the service is likely to start next month, Union Home Secretary VK Duggal said on Friday.
Modalities in this regard are being discussed, he told reporters accompanying him on a day's visit here to review security arrangements for the on-going Amarnath Yatra.
India has sent to Pakistan a list of 60 members, who will be part of the trade delegation, for finalising the modalities, Duggal said.
To questions on the Yatra, he said apart from security arrangements, plans are also in place to meet any situation arising out of the prevailing inclement weather.
Duggal could not visit Amarnath Yatra camps due to bad weather.
"In case of any natural calamity, quick aerial support will be provided. There is perfect coordination between all security agencies," he said.
