India's domination at the eight-nation South Asian Federation (SAF) Games continued as its athletes added nine gold medals to take the tally to 24 gold, 10 silver and three bronze medals.
Indian swimmers won six gold, the shooters two and one came in table tennis on the third day of the competition.
One more gold could have come in swimming, but Sri Lanka's Andrew Abeysinghe upset favourite Rehan Poncha in the men's 200-metre backstroke at the Sugathadasa Stadium pool.
Abeysinghe clocked 2:07.97 seconds while Poncha managed 2:11.33 seconds. The bronze, however, went to India with Rohit Havaldar claiming it with a time of 2:13.40 seconds.
The Indian under-20 football team entered the semi-finals with a 2-1 over Bangladesh in a tough battle. Sushil Kumar Singh and Branco Vincent Cardozo scored for the winners while Feroze Mahmood Hussain reduced the margin for Bangladesh.
The semi-final is on Aug 24 and the final on Aug 26.
Fariah Zaman clinched the gold in women's 100m backstroke and celebrated it with a games record of 1:09.05 seconds. Shipra Mahajan won the silver.

Sandeep Sejwal clinched the men's 100m breaststroke with a time of 1:07.73 seconds.
In shooting, India won the two gold in the 25m sports pistol event. Anisa Syed bagged the individual gold and India clinched the team gold in the same event.
India, which won 103 gold medals to top the list in the previous edition in Islamabad in 2004, is set to capture the bulk of the 425 gold, 425 silver and 545 bronze medals at stake.
Over 2,000 athletes are taking part in 20 sports disciplines.
