In a major step that would help Indian carriers fly to more international destinations, the government has decided to open 11 new international sectors under bilateral air services agreements (ASAs).

The sectors include Mumbai-Dar-es-Salaam Delhi-Guangzhou; Delhi-Yangon ; Delhi-Tashkent; Delhi-Ho-Chi-Minh City; Delhi-Hanoi ; Delhi-Almaty Delhi-Macao ; Delhi-Addis Ababa ; Delhi-Melbourne; Delhi-Sydney .
The move would help SpiceJet run 98 services per week, Jet Airways 102 services per week and Indigo 84 services per week. This is in addition to their existing allocation.
Services of Air India (AI) and Air India Express will increase from 430 services per week to 471.
