Pramod Ranjan Dey, an official of Income Tax office at Bhubaneswar, visited the museum on Sunday and wrote in the register: “Jawaharlal Nehru is a B*****D because of whom our beloved Netaji did not get his due recognition. Modi Govt. should declassify all files relating to the disappearance of Netaji. Jai Hind.”

Unfortunately for him, senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh visited the museum the same day. As Ramesh wrote his observations on the visitor’s register, his attention went to Dey’s comment just above his.

Pointing out the comment to the museum officials, the Congress MP said they should ensure that such comments do not find their way in the record books of the reputed institution.

However, taking affront of the comments by Dey, local Congress workers staged a demonstration in Cuttack the next day. “Dey’s abusive remarks against one of India’s top freedom fighters and first prime minister are an insult to the country. Strong action should be taken against him,” said Cuttack Congress president Md. Moquim.
