Condemning the Israeli attack in Gaza, PDP Chairman, Abdul Nasar Madhani urged the Indian Union Muslim League to pressure the government to cut diplomatic ties with Israel.
Condemning the Israeli attack in Gaza, People's Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman, Abdul Nasar Madhani on Thursday urged the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), a constituent of Congress-led UPA Government at the Centre, to pressure the Government to cut diplomatic ties with Israel.

Speaking to reporters in Kochi, Madhani said 'if the IUML is against the attack then they should pressurise the Centre to sever ties with Israel.IUML should quit the government if the UPA government is not prepared to do so'.
Madhani said his party would observe a week-long protest condemning the attack from on Friday. He will launch the protest Payyoli in Kannur district,Madhani said.
Madhani said that the US and Arab nations should try to isolate Israel for the attacks against Hamas.
The PDP would support the Left Democratic Front in the coming Lok Sabha elections, Madhani said adding his party would field its own candidate in the Ponnani constituency in Kerala.Ponnani was PDP's stronghold where it had booth and panchayat level conventions, he said.
Asked whether the LDF had given any assurance on the seat, he said it was too early to comment on the issue.
However, Madhani reiterated that he will not be contesting the elections.
