BHOPAL TEAM scored 254 runs against rival Rewa team on Friday — the first day of three-day match played under the MM Jagdale memorial inter-division cricket tournament for under-17 boys at Bab-e-Aali Stadium.
After winning the toss, Bhopal decided to bat first. The team lost the first wicket when the score was 15 runs. Shashank took the catch of Vikrant Singh on Shivam’s delivery. Before Bhopal could set a big partnership, another batsman Rameez Khan lost his wicket at the score of 24 runs.
After losing two wickets in quick succession at the score of 24, Shreyas Singh and Akash Gupta put breaks on quick fall of wickets. When both were playing comfortably against the bowlers, Bhopal lost third wicket in form of Akash Gupta at the score of 73. Akash scored 19 runs.
The next batsman, Saurabh Khadse, lost his wicket after contributing 24 runs. At the score of 131 runs, Bhopal lost five wickets. Shreyas was stumped after scoring 58 runs.
Thanks to responsible innings of 42 runs and 56 runs played by Abhishek Singh and Samay Shrivastava, the team managed to touch the 200 runs mark. At the end of the day’s play, Bhopal scored 254 runs for the loss of eight wickets. Kumar Sambhav and Deepesh Singh were at the stumps.
