A 21-year-old man in Kerala, who played the musical keyboard for a marathon 51 hours, is set to enter the Guinness Book of World Records.
"I began playing the keyboard at 12.30 p.m. on July 5 and went on till 11.05 p.m. on July 7," Jaison George told IANS.
George played the instrument before 12 judges of the Guinness Book of World Records.
"We will send the papers certified by the judges to the office of the Guinness World Records," said A.J. Robi, the organiser of the event.
In the course of achieving this record, the musician used eight different keyboards.
George, who was entitled to take a 10-minute break after every hour, rested for only seven hours and 35 minutes in total.
"I also played at a stretch for eight hours. Though I had planned to play the keyboard for 50 hours, I stopped playing after 51 hours. Now I plan to break my own record by playing the instrument for 100 hours non-stop very soon," added George, who hails from Kochi.
"I won't take long to achieve that," said a confident but tired George.
