Train movement on the Jammu-Katra-Udhampur railway route has been disrupted by landslides and floods.

The Shri Shakti Express introduced in July to facilitate the travel of pilgrims who visit the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine near Katra, has also been stranded at the Ramnagar station.

Vehicular traffic has also been stopped on the Jammu-Pathankot highway due to incessant rains.

At least 90 people have died after floods and landslides lashed the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Pulwama, Anantnag and Kulgam districts in south Kashmir have been the worst hit due to the disaster.

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has also reached Srinagar on Saturday to take a tour of flood-hit areas of Jammu and Kashmir today, accompanied by minister of state (PMO), Dr. Jitendra Singh.
