The strength of the Madhya Pradesh IAS cadre was revised to 369 a few years back. But at present only 298 are working in the state.

Describing it as an achievement, state Chief Secretary Rakesh Sahni said “it is really a matter of pride for the State to have such a large number of women officers.”

MP’s women IAS officers are not only doing excellent job here but are also bringing laurels for the State when working on deputation at the Centre, he said.

“If the number of lady IAS officers in Madhya Pradesh is maximum in the country, it is by default not design,” said Additional Chief Secretary, Ranjana Choudhary, the senior most lady IAS officer working as Agriculture Production Commissioner.
