Avaidayanath was expressing his views after inaugurating a free health mela at Guru Gorakshanath Hospital on Sunday. He called upon physicians to serve humanity, especially the poor.

He said all medical facilities in the camp would be free of cost. Focusing on the objective of the camp, BJP MP Yogi Adityanath said it was part of a government scheme and the mela was organised in collaboration with the government at six places, including Gorakhpur.

Former Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University vice-chancellor Prof Radhemohan Mishra said a programme for education and free education and free health service in rural areas should be launched.
