"An unidentified body of a male, aging about 60 years, physically weak with long hair and beard, was recovered from outside a hospital in Bandipora, 55 kms from Srinagar," a police spokesman said on Sunday.

The man had died due to "severe cold", he said, adding that this was the seventh cold-related death in the valley this season.

Meanwhile, in another incident three persons, including an Army jawan, died from asphyxia due to smoke inhalation, emanating from heating appliances on Saturday. Three non-Kashmiri labourers died under similar circumstances last month.

Intense cold wave has swept the Kashmir valley with minimum temperature falling to as low as minus 12 degrees Celsius in some places.
