A Srinagar-based human rights organization has claimed to have elusive and India-s most-wanted militant commander of Jash-e-Muhammad (JeM) Masood Azhar and Lashkar-e-Tayeeba (LeT) chief Hafiz Muhammad Sayeed as speaker for a seminar to be held tomorrow titled “The role of pro-freedom leaders’ viz-a-viz Kashmir issue” in Srinagar.
“Through this seminar, we want to make the resistance leadership accountable. We want to deliberate over the role a resistance movement expects from its leadership,” said Ahsaan Untoo, chairman, Human Rights Forum Jammu and Kashmir.
“We expect Maulana Masood Azhar, Hamid Gul (former ISI chief) and Hafiz Sayeed to speak on the occasion on mobile phone,” said Untoo.
If Untoo is to be believed, it will be first appearance of the India’s most wanted militant Azhar Masood--- who was released in 1999 from an Indian jail in exchange of the hostages held in the flight IC-814 at Khandhar by Pakistan-based militants.
Interestingly, after India put pressure after 26/11 on Pakistan to hand over wanted militants like Azhar and Sayeed, Pakistan officials denied knowing the whereabouts of Azhar saying “he has gone underground and was missing.”
The United Jehad Council (UJC) supreme and Hizbul Mujahideen chief Sayeed Salahuddin is also expected to speak on the occasion, said the organizers.

{{/usCountry}}Separatist leadership from both moderate and hardline camps are expected to attend the seminar. Prominent among them are chairmen of the factions of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Sayeed Ali Shah Geelani. Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front chief Yasin Malik has also been invited for the seminar.
