Medical centre at girls? hostel
DEEN DAYAL Updhyaya Gorakhpur University vice-chancellor Prof Arun Kumar inaugurated the first medical check up and counselling centre at the Rani Laxmibai Girls Hostel on Wednesday. The much-awaited centre will provide first aid to girls students. Expressing his views on this occasion, Prof Arun Kumar said the centre had started functioning in the golden jubilee year of the university. He promised to provide all facilities to this hostel. A lady doctor will be deputed here to look after girl students? health concerns.

A lady doctor will be deputed here to look after girl students’ health concerns.
Wife of vice-chancellor Mina Kumar, stressed the need of generating home-like atmosphere in the hostel. She said initially the centre would function once a day but later the strength of doctors would be increased.
Pro vice-chancellor Prof Jaiprakash, heads of various departments and others were present on this occasion.
With the inauguration of the centre, medical facilities for students will get a fillip and in-house consultation will be within the students’ reach.
