On late Monday night, the Panipat police had escorted the rape "victims" for their medical examination at Karnal Civil Hospital.

The Panipat superintendent of police KK Rao said on Tuesday that the reports rule out any sexual assault on both foreign nationals. He also clarified that the district police had approached the court to allow them to conduct tests outside Panipat.

On Saturday, the police had arrested a politically-influential inspector of State Vigilance Bureau Jaswant Bangar for masterminding a conspiracy to trap a young and rich businessman from Karnal in a false rape case to extort money.

Police claims that as per the conspiracy, a resident of Karnal Vinod Kumar befriended Kanav Deep Singh, who owns several shops at Railway Road, Karnal and introduced Kanav to Irina and Noora as his Russian business partners.

On June 18, Noora invited Kanav to a party at Skylark hotel in Panipat and he and Vinod reached there at around 9.30 pm.

However, next day, Vinod told Kanav that the two women had filed a police complaint that he (Kanav) raped them in the hotel.

In the meantime, vigilance officer Jaswant called up Kanav and demanded Rs one crore for helping him to get out of the legal trouble.

Meanwhile, Kanav contacted the Panipat police and narrated his side of the whole story.

With the help of audio-video devises, Kanav recorded all personal and telephonic conversations with Jaswant and based on the evidence, the police arrested the four.

Anil, the fifth accused in the racket and a resident of Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, is still at large and police said that it was investigating if more people were involved in the scandal.
