The opposition PDP in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday welcomed the "proposed" resumption of composite dialogue between India and Pakistan saying it would be a step towards improving ties between the two countries.

"We welcome the proposed resumption of the composite dialogue between India and Pakistan. It is a good start in the betterment of the relations between two countries", former Chief Minister and PDP Patron Mufti Mohmmad Sayeed told reporters in Jammu.
Sayeed said it was good that India was reaching out to Pakistan for resumption of the dialogue process stalled after 2008 Mumbai terror attack.
He said that this reflected an assertion by the forces of peace and reconcillation and augered well for the future of South Asia.
