In a whirlwind tour of the district on Tuesday, Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party leader Mulayam Singh Yadav addressed a series of rallies in Barabanki's all eight constituencies namely Dariyabad, Fathehpur, Rudauli, Haidargarh, Masauli, Ramnagar, Siddhaur and Nawabganj.
In Nawabganj he used the occassion to thank Jai Gurudev activists for campaigning all over the State for the Samajwadi Party. He said that Congress was being wiped out from the political map of India.
He said TDP leader Chandra Babu Naidu, Natwar Singh , former Karnataka Chief Minister S. Bangarappa and former Chief Minister of Haryana Om Prakash Chautala would once again share the dias in Allahabad on April 23 to campaign for the Samajwadi Party, and added that the UPA coalition was becoming dysfunctional and unstable.
He said only SP could stop the BJP . All political parties including the BJP, BSP and the Congress had embarked upon anti-Mulyam campaign without any ideology. He said that maximum Muslim MPs were from SP and critised the BSP for distributing the tickets by taking money.
He said if he returned to power he would provide free education to the youths upto post graduation while Kanya Vidya Dhan money would be increased to Rs. 25000. Girls would be given a sum of Rs. 1500 for cycle on being promoted to class XI . If his party returned to power, Lohia Awas Yojna would be launched to provide house to people of all castes and creed. The emergency allowance would be raised to Rs 4000.

He said that a cancer hospital would also be established in the UP which could be comparable to Tata Cancer Institute where free treatment would be provided.
