The snub-shaped Tatas’ small car, Nano, which will come with an 18-month and 24,000-kilometre warranty, is a pleasure to drive, Tata Group Chairman Ratan Tata said in Mumbai on Monday.
“I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed driving the car,” Tata told editors when asked about the feel of the car when he was at the wheels.
He was responding to a question that he himself had said that he cannot expect the car to be a Honda or a Toyota.
Elaborating, Tata said even in motorcycles, there are price-sensitive two-wheelers and the Nano could certainly not compare with high-end BMW vehicles.
He said this is what he meant when he said that it (Nano) cannot be a Honda or a Toyota.
The high-end model Nano comes with power-steering, power-brakes and power windows and A/c providing driving comfort.
