Former MP Navjot Singh Sidhu filed a bail bond in the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate in Chandigarh on Thursday.
Last week, Sidhu was convicted of culpable homicide not amounting to murder for causing the death of Gurnam Singh in Patiala town in a road rage case in 1988.

The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Wednesday gave a suspended sentence of three years in prison to Sidhu.
