Station master of Nadaul Rajesh Kumar and some other railways staff were chased out of the station premises by armed extremists around 10.30 pm, Chief Public Relations Officer of ECR AK Chandra said.

He, however, denied reports that the station master had been kidnapped and said Rajesh Kumar had contacted his superiors over phone from somewhere and informed them about the incident.

"The man has not been kidnapped and is safe," he said.

"Services on the Patna-Gaya section has been suspended and the state government is being informed," he said.
