NBRI HAS been granted the process patent for their technology of synergistic composition of plant and soil health enhancer prepared from the cow urine, Neem and Garlic. The process of converting them into a soil health enhancer has been invented by the team of scientists from NBRI and ‘Go Vigyan Kendra’, Nagpur.
Team of Dr CS Nautiyal, Dr HB Singh, Dr P Pushpangadan and Sunil Mansighka from GVAK Nagpur has worked intensively to procure the patent.
The patent is based on the age old technology of Panchgavya.
“We have to get it into the form of product in future, which is our next challenge,” said director NBRI Dr P Pushpangadan and added, “The composition helps plant growth and controlling plant pathogenic fungi. The fermented product is expected to encourage cow based economic activities in village.”
Extensive use of chemical fertilisers and stimulants has deteriorated the soil quality. But with the new process and product, farmers would be getting low price quality organic product, said Pushpangadan. He added, “The product would be in liquid and powder form, with the shelf life of 2 years, which would be beneficial for the farmers.”
