MEMBER OF Planning Commission and noted social activist Dr Hamida Sayeed said that despite implementation of several welfare schemes by the Government, it was beyond the reach of needy persons.

She was speaking at a public hearing function organised by the social organisation ‘Paharua’ in Bhadohi district on Thursday evening.
Dr Sayeed expressed grave concern over the ineffective system and said that it had become difficult for the poor and needy persons, including Musharas, Dalit, handicapped and uneducated children, to avail benefits of the welfare schemes being run by government.
Dr Hamida directed the officials to improve their work culture or face action.
As many as 48 complaints were put up in the public hearing camp.
Dr Rajiv Singh of Dr Shambhunath Research Foundation highlighted the objective behind organising the camp and Dr Roli Singh extended the vote of thanks.
