Ahead of the Delhi assembly election on February 7, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal alleged on Wednesday a nexus between power firms and the Delhi unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
The Kejriwal-led party said the power companies have refused to submit their books to get their audit done under the saffron party's rule, questioned its silence on the alleged corruption and fudging of accounts by discoms as well as audit of discoms and the privatisation scam of Delhi Vidyut Board.
Kejriwal claimed to have documentary evidence to show that Delhi state BJP president Satish Upadhyay owns a company that supplies metres and other equipment to BSES. Delhi BJP's vice-president Ashish Sood has been a director in one of Upadhyay's companies.

{{/usCountry}}He said the BJP made Upadhyay and Sood its office bearers despite the knowledge that they were linked to power firms pointing to the "conflict of interest."
Upadhyay was also asked to explain the transactions that were undertaken by his two companies— NCNL Transomedia Pvt Ltd and NCNL Power Pvt Ltd— saying they have now become untraceable. The AAP also alleged that that major payments from Reliance group companies and BSES were made to these two companies.
As the chief minister of Delhi, last year Kejriwal had ordered the audit of the private power distribution companies - BSES Yamuna Power Ltd, BSES Rajdhani Power Ltd and Tata Power Delhi Distribution Ltd.
