At least nine NSCN-Khaplang insurgents were arrested in two different incidents in North Cachar Hills district of Assam and arms recovered from them, police said on Monday.
District Superintendent of Police AR Laskar said in Haflong that on Saturday night five militants were picked up from Mahur area and the rest from Maibong during patrolling by the policemen.

A 9-mm pistol and magazine along with two rounds of ammunition were recovered from them, Laskar said.
