“No fresh case of H1N1 infection was detected in the state and the situation is under control,” Director General Health R R Bharti said.

So far 27 cases of H1N1 infection have been detected in the state.

“Principal Secretary Health Pradeep Shukla reviewed the swine flu situation in the state with the Chief Medical Officers of Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Basti, Azamgarh and Mirzapur divisions,” he said.

Bharti said that to train health officials regarding steps to prevent swine flu, its treatment and other technical know-how, a training programme will be organised in Lucknow on August 20.

“The training programme will be attended by chief medical officers, chief medical superintendents and one member of rapid response team from each district of the state,” he said.
