Sardar Sherbaz Khan Mazari condemned allegations by the government against Akbar Khan Bugti, who was slain in a military operation on August 26.

He expressed the hope that the late leader's "sacrifice" would pave the way for a dialogue between the government and the Baloch people and benefit other provinces that feel neglected.

He said the present military rulers wanted to divide the nation by levelling baseless allegations against the Baloch people, reported The News International.

The leader was quoted as saying that there was no room for military dictatorship and the army should go back to the barracks and the borders, as that was the constitutional responsibility of the armed forces.
