Working ladies who are married have a very practical reason for observing Navratri: "My husband goes on fast so I don't have any reason to prepare food for myself, so I also go on fast but at the same time I also have faith on god", says Sarita working for the Shalimar Group.
"We have not seen Rama and Ma Durga so we are just following a trend. But we have our individual thinking because no one forces us to observe a fast", says Shajika who is pursuing her MBA and works for CitiBank.
