An 18-year-old youth has been arrested for allegedly attempting to crossover to Pakistan through the international border in Jammu.

Sources said that BSF troops detained one Jaya of Orissa as he was trying to sneak into the neighbouring country near Suchetgarh Border out post in Jammu district late last night and was handed over to the police.

In fact, he first tried to escape when he was asked to surrender by the BSF personnel, but was finally caught, the sources said.

Nothing incriminating was recovered from him, they said, adding that he told interrogators that he wanted to see life in Pakistan.
