"We have called a two-day bandh from today over the decision of the state government... It is a decision against the nation, how can BJP now call itself a nationalist (party)," JKNPP patron Bhim Singh said on Sunday.

Demanding the state government to be done away with for its decision, he said Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union home minister and the RSS should now come out and clarify their stand of their government in Jammu and Kashmir.

"Masarat is not a political prisoner. He was involved in the stone pelting agitation directed against the country. How can the BJP-partnered government release him," he said.

"If BJP says that there was no consent from their side to this decision, is the government in comma or where do they figure in the government decision making," he said.
