madhulika: What kind of role do you play in Jogger's Park?
Perizaad Zorabian: I play a girl called Jenny who is the epitome of today's youth - she is independent and headstrong and lives life to the fullest and on her own terms.

ronita: What is your favourite exercise? Except jogging I mean.
Perizaad Zorabian: Dancinggggggggggggg. I am extremely passionate about dancing and have learnt western classical ballet for 12 years
laughingbuddha: Tell us more about your background.
Perizaad Zorabian: I belong to a family of entrepreneurs and am Iranian.
sujata: Jogging is as good as for mind as for body. How good is Jogger's Park for entertainment?
Perizaad Zorabian: Jogger's Park as in the place is a great place to be in - clean and gets a variety of people coming in and as a film it is a light sweet romantic tale. I hope you as an audience find it entertaining. It is an honest simple film that has stayed true to its storyline without trying to cater to any typical audience.
shailja: I saw you in Bollywood Calling and you were just amazing! Was it difficult to get a Bollywood role after doing a satire on the industry?
Perizaad Zorabian: Thanks so much for the compliment - yes it was difficult, but I have no regrets about Bollywood Calling as my debut film. I loved my character Kajol in it.
shailja: I saw you in Bollywood Calling and you were just amazing! Was it difficult to get a Bollywood role after doing a satire on the industry?
Perizaad Zorabian: Thanks so much for the compliment - yes it was difficult, but I have no regrets about Bollywood Calling as my debut film. I loved my character Kajol in it.
rajkumar3: Hi, we really miss you on TV. Do you plan to appear on it again or you have left it for good.
Perizaad Zorabian: Well, now I am focusing on a film career and unfortunately the Indian audience doesn't accept you as a heroine once you are on TV unlike the US. So yes, TV will get a break for a while but I am sure I will return to it someday.
ms_koshta: Do you intend to work in art films?
Perizaad Zorabian: No, I just wanted to do good work - be it in theatre or TV or films. I lucked out with Bollywood Calling and my path kind of got fixed with that film, I do want to also do commercial films - as an actress I want to experience the entire spectrum of Indian cinema
paintal: You look just out of the world on the promos! When can we see Jogger's Park?
Perizaad Zorabian: Gosh, out of the world - that's a huge exaggeration - but thanks a ton, you are boosting my morale and I need that real bad - am nervous about the release that's now slated for August 8th.
aravinthsrini: is the story heroine based?
Perizaad Zorabian: Its about two people - Jenny and JC. But yes, Jenny is the spirit of the film.
zuzupus: well I'm Arun from Germany I loved your acting in Bollywood Calling. In fact all my German friends loved the way you as act.
Perizaad Zorabian: Gosh, thank you Arun - I hope you get to watch Jogger's Park and Mumbai Matinee. Both release in August and both are real fun films.
rajkumar3: Nowadays every heroine right from Priyanka to Lara has started to follow the trend of less (clothes) is better. Do you intend to follow the same trend?
Perizaad Zorabian: No - I am very uncomfortable with nudity - and I don't have the best body.
ms_koshta: Would you agree to expose in your coming films if the story demands so?
Perizaad Zorabian: Each actor is comfortable with certain things - I am far more comfortable doing a kissing scene than wearing something overtly sexy. It just isn't me and I can't carry it off.
prettyash: Subhash Ghai usually changes the name of his heroines? What happened in your case?
Perizaad Zorabian: Well, he didn't with Kareena and Aishwarya - besides people already know me as Perizaad Zorabian from Bollywood Calling so it would be senseless to change it at this stage.
sweetiepooh: How did you prepare for the role in Jogger's Park? It seems to be quite challenging for an actress.
Perizaad Zorabian: Yes it was challenging but she's such a well-written character that it was very easy. She's very real and spontaneous and fun and passionate and I relate to those emotions.
rajkumar3: Please don't say you don't have good body. We would like you to follow the trend.
Perizaad Zorabian: Well I am not comfortable following that trend so lets just keep it to the acting.
laughingbuddha: What other films are you working on at present?
Perizaad Zorabian: Well I have Morning Raga with Shabana Azmi and Tanuja Chandra's next - Stardust.
Ashok: Why do you work with all movies that have an English title?
Perizaad Zorabian: I hope to change that in the future. I am going to really try and do a hardcore commercial film in the future.
winniethepooh: How was it working for Subhash Ghai when you had refused working in Yaadein earlier?
Perizaad Zorabian: Well, he is a wonderful man - he respected my decision and never held it against me. That's what I admire about him - his policy on live and let live.
falguni: Which are some of your favorite scenes in Jogger's Park that we should keep extra watch on?
Perizaad Zorabian: The last scene of the film with Jenny and JC and my 'hubba hubba' song.
bobbyjos: How would you rank your acting on a scale of 1-10 (10 being the highest)?
Perizaad Zorabian: 4 - I still have a long way to go as an actress. I need to learn the craft. I am still too instinctive and need to learn more about the medium - the technical aspects of filmmaking.
asharma: How many hours have you spent jogging for the Jogger's Park?
Perizaad Zorabian: Well I live 5 minutes from Jogger's Park so have spent half my life there - we friends used to hang out at the park every evening. But shooting the film - 15 days.
tanya: You look much better than most actresses, act very well, dance well and I heard that you are an MBA. Shouldn't other actresses just give up?
Perizaad Zorabian: Nah. I need to get a lot of things right - in fact competition is healthy and good and makes one want to excel.
ms_koshta: Which actors do you admire the most?
Perizaad Zorabian: Aamir Khan and Akshay Khanna and Tabu and Kajol. It is disrespectful to give a gender to an actor - in theatre school abroad we were taught to make no distinctions between men and women - everyone is an ACTOR.
bobbyjos: Please tell me what you did before movies?
Perizaad Zorabian: Well I studied and got an MBA and also went to a world-renowned theatre school called Lee Strasberg.
shamita: You said that you relate yourself to Jenny. How you and Jenny are close as a person?
Perizaad Zorabian: Very close - but she's very much the person I want to be. She's much stronger than I am in real life and she takes the good and bad with the same attitude. That's what I wish I had. I let bad things affect me and pull me down.
k_sank: If you get a chance to act in Hollywood movies will you accept it ? And if yes, will you accept kissing scenes?
Perizaad Zorabian: Yes, I would love to be part of Hollywood and world cinema. If the kiss is essential in the film, then yes. I would do it.
jessica: Do people still call you Maya?
Perizaad Zorabian: Yeah people definitely call me Maya and that shows you the power of television and a well-written character.
shashank: What does your name mean?
Perizaad Zorabian: Perizaad means Queen of Angels. (blushing)
rajahindustani: What all will one like in Jogger's Park?
Perizaad Zorabian: The simplicity and the honesty in the story telling. The real characters and the background music. You must hear the CD - its fabulous.
woogie: Your last movie, Bollywood Calling, was a super-hit. So you have a 100% record! What makes a movie hit? And how do you think JP will fare?
Perizaad Zorabian: With one release having a 100% record isn't that difficult. I hope and pray JP does well. It is really a different film so the audience will either reject it or accept it and make it a huge hit. That will be something else. Wow.
raj_0251: Perizaad, please take this as a compliment - you are truly different in your attitude than all the other actresses.
Perizaad Zorabian: Thanks so much - people always tell me I need to throw more attitude to be a star and I know if I change and put on an act being an actress will be a huge burden. I enjoy being an actress and I am glad I can just be me.
aravinthsrini: What's would you be if you were not actress?
Perizaad Zorabian: A businesswoman. I am really good at that and far more secure and confident as an entrepreneur. As an actress a lot is not in your control but with a business you are your own master.
sona: You look hep in Samsung ads. Are you really a freshitarian?
Perizaad Zorabian: He he! Thanks. Well I try and eat healthy and have a fresh exciting attitude towards life. I am trying to be healthy in mind and body - its important especially when you are an actress - our lives are so stressful.
haroonjamil: Will you like to visit Pakistan if a Pakistani filmmaker makes an offer?
Perizaad Zorabian: Why not, if I like the script. I will do a film anywhere in the world. I am not anti - Pakistan and really believe we should all learn to co-exist.
shreya45: What do u think about the music of Jogger's Park?
Perizaad_Zorabian: I love the music of JP. It has got such a great variety.
raj_0251: Being a Parsi , you still have very good Hindi diction.
Perizaad Zorabian: Well, thank you. I have worked very hard on my language and it is still not perfect but I have come a long way.
chintan: Do you think fan worship is part of the package or do you consider it an occupational hazard? Any crazy fan incidents?
Perizaad Zorabian: No crazy fan incidents. I think its great when your audience appreciates you - fans is a very strong word - I don't want to be hero-worshiped. I just want my work to be accepted.
shreya45: What about the relations with your co-stars in the film
Perizaad Zorabian: Victor Banerjee is wonderful - a fabulous actor and a great human being. I adore him and respect him and that chemistry has translated on screen. I have been very lucky with my co-stars.
