Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a ride in the national capital’s Metro for the first time on Saturday while going to Dwarka to inaugurate the new National Intelligence Academy.

Modi travelled in the airport express line of the Metro from Dhaula Kuan to Dwarka along with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.

Officials said Modi travelled by Metro to avoid causing inconvenience to the public because of his security arrangements. Roads are closed for some time whenever the prime minister travels within Delhi.
