The Supreme Court on Monday cancelled the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) entrance exam and asked all "institutions involved in the process" to help the CBSE to conduct fresh exams in four weeks. The ruling comes after petitioners sought re-conducting of the AIPMT following the leak of the question paper and the circulation of answers at examination centres across 10 states. The decision means that more than 6 lakh students, who had appeared once in the tough entrance examination, will have to take the test again.
