Polling was suspended in four booths for varying periods in Khajuraho Lok Sabha constituency following a tiff between BJP and Congress workers.

Deputy Election Officer of Tikamgarh district RM Gupta said voting was suspended for two-and-half hours in two booths under Khargapur Assembly segment after BJP and Congress workers had a tiff.

Similarly, polling was stopped for two-and half hours at a booth in Jatara area, and resumed after intervention of prominent persons from the locality, Gupta said, adding that voting was suspended for about an hour at a polling station in Yashwantnagar in Tikamgarh area following a similar incident.
However, normalcy was restored in all these places and voting was in progress peacefully, he said.
