The Rajya Sabha was adjourned twice after agitated TDP members demanded a CBI inquiry into corruption in irrigation projects in Andhra Pradesh, while Congress members sought tabling of UC Banerjee Commission's report on the Godhra train blaze.

As soon as the House met, TDP members demanded suspension of the Question Hour to take up a discussion on the irrigation project issue.
Chairman Bhairon Singh Shekhawat advised them to take up the matter after the Prime Minister's statement on civil nuclear energy cooperation with the US.
However, the unrelenting TDP members rushed to the well of the House.
Members of the Congress also moved to the well demanding a discussion into the Godhra issue.
This forced Shekhawat to adjourn the House till 11:30 am.
Similar scenes prevailed after the House re-assembled, forcing Deputy Chairman K Rehman Khan to adjourn it till noon.
