He said this at a Press conference at Sahara Shehar soon after the Uttaranchal Government announced that there was no trace of such elements in his medicines.

“The Uttaranchal Government had collected samples from our ashram and tested them. Today, they made the reports public and said that there were no traces of human bones and skulls. Our stand has been vindicated. And now there should be a probe against those who spread such canards about us,” he said.

He said Karat had put the nation’s pride at stake when yoga and Ayurveda were making a comeback. He said it was unethical of Karat to make baseless allegations about his medicines, as human bones and skulls were never used in Ayurvedic formulatons. He said Karat’s statements might have been part of a larger conspiracy to malign Ayurveda in the ‘interests’ of the multinational pharma industry.
