What is surprising is that, Kanhaiya is on the lines of classic Mother India. Before leaving for Varanasi for shooting, we caught up with beautiful Rati, who confirmed the news saying, “this is my second Bhojpuri film”.

She adds, “the film is on the lines of Mother India! I play the role that late Nargisji had played in the original. My character’s name is Yashoda, the name of the mother of Lord Krishna. It is a beautiful script and I have enjoyed working with the unit in my earlier film. It is not exactly a remake of Mother India but the plot is almost similar in many ways.”

Currently busy shooting for Kanhaiya, Rati has just globetrotted finishing her schedules of films like Aisa Kyun Hota Hai and Karma, Confessions & Holi.

Besides, acting, Rati is also busy with her husband’s Mall in Pune, where she has designed a multi-cuisine restaurant.

“I have been lucky and the industry has showered their love in my second innings just like they did when I started with my first movie,” she says.
