Two youths have been arrested for allegedly raping a married woman of Gharothi village in Rohtak on Tuesday.
The suspects have been identified as brothers-in-law of the victim -Raj Kumar and Subhash Kumar, from the same village.
Police said the victim lodged a complaint on Tuesday at the Lakhan Majra police station that she was raped by the duo on the night of October 13.
The 30-year-old victim has four children and her husband drives an autorickshaw.
Superintendent of police Vivek Sharma said the victim told the police that when she was alone at her house, the duo took her to another house located on the outskirts of the village on a motorcycle and committed the crime.
After returning home, the victim narrated the incident to her family, but was asked to keep mum to save the dignity of the family that belonged to a dominating community (Rajput), police sources said.
The police said case is under investigation.
