The agreement was signed between him and AIADMK General Secretary J Jayalalithaa at her Poes Garden residence in Chennai.
Santhanam, who was the party's lone legislator and state unit General Secretary, was expelled from the AIFB for 'indiscipline' after film actor Karthik took over as state unit President recently.
AIFB National General Secretary Debabrata Biswas, after his unsuccessful meeting with Jayalalithaa, had announced on Sunday last that the party would go it alone in the Assembly elections.
