Sarabjit’s sister to leave for Pakistan on June 5

After getting Pakistani visa, Dalbir Kaur, sister of Indian prisoner Sarabjit Singh, who is lodged in Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat Jail since two decades, will cross over to Pakistan on June 5 to meet his brother.

After getting Pakistani visa, Dalbir Kaur, sister of Indian prisoner Sarabjit Singh, who is lodged in Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat Jail since two decades, will cross over to Pakistan on June 5 to meet his brother.

It may be mentioned that Dalbir Kaur and Sarabjit’s wife and two daughters had recently applied for Pakistani visa. But the Pakistani High Commission issued visa only for Dalbir Kaur and rejected others application.

Now busy packing bags, Dalbir Kaur, who is anxiously waiting for the day she meets her brother in Lahore Jail, said, "I will be crossing over to Pakistan through the Attari border on June 5 and meet my brother in Lahore jail on June 6. I am waiting for the day very curiously and it will be a great moment when I meet my brother."

On a question, Dalbir Kaur said, "Apart from taking Rakhi, I will also be taking along some clothes I have bought for him. Sarabjit's daughter and wife will also send some specially cooked items for Sarabjit."

Dalbir Kaur also claimed that many other people, who wish for Sarabjit’s freedom will be reaching border on June 5 and some ladies will also send rakhi for him.
